Bailey sees positives in defeat

Even though Australia lost the second T20 match against India on Friday, their newly appointed captain George Bailey still saw enough positives in his team's overall performance.

One of the things we wanted to get out of the week was trying a few different people in different spots.

Earlier in the week, India had lost the first T20 match by 31 runs but they bounced back in style and claimed the second game by eight wickets, which was the very first win of their tour Down Under.
Australia are 1.57 to defeat India in first ODI on Sunday. The tourists themselves are 2.37 to get the win.
Bailey tried to downplay the loss and said that they are looking to experiment a bit in order to get their best possible line-up for upcoming West Indian tour and the T20 World Cup, which will take place later this year.

New Australian wicketkeeper Matthew Wade, who had scored a brilliant 72 as an opener in the first match, was dropped down the order to make way for his fellow newcomer Aaron Finch. That reshuffling could possibly have cost Australia the game but Bailey isn't bothered by it.
Bailey said: "One of the things we wanted to get out of the week was trying a few different people in different spots and, going forward, 'Wadey' is going to have an opportunity at the top and opportunities in the middle. Tonight I thought it was pleasing that he showed that he can achieve in both areas."
"That just gives us another option at different times. As much about trying to win, this week was as much about trying to find out what different people can do in different situations."
