Brett Lee breaks foot

Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has broken his foot, which means that he will not be playing another game this summer.

The veteran quickie picked up the injury in Australia's T20 defeat to India on Friday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
He was immediately replaced on the field by the twelfth man and the amount of pain visible on his face had indicated that the problem is a serious one.
Australia are 1.14 to win the 2012 Commonwealth Bank Series, while India are 1213.00 and Sri Lanka are 5.50.
Scans were then immediately conducted on his foot, after which it was confirmed that he will be spending a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Australia team doctor Trefor James told the press: "Brett Lee sustained a fracture of his right foot when he was struck by a ball in the last over of his spell.
"He was able to complete the over however the foot became more painful and swollen the following day. An x-ray has confirmed a fracture of the small toe and we now expect Brett will return to cricket in four-six weeks."
Injuries are coming thick and fast for Australian fast bowlers these days. With the addition of Lee, Australia now have Mitchell Johnson, James Pattinson, Patrick Cummins and Ryan Harris in the treatment room.
A decision regarding Lee's replacement has not been taken by Cricket Australia yet.
