Victoria Bushrangers' fiery paceman James Pattinson has targeted this month's Commonwealth Bank ODI Series for his return from injury.
Pattinson proved himself as a force to be reckoned with for Australia, after picking up 25 wickets in just four Test matches at an outstanding rate of 18.12 per wicket.
But he was forced to miss the final two matches of the Border-Gavaskar test series against India due to a mild stress fracture in foot.
However, he has recovered from his injury ahead of schedule, which means that he could be available to play some part in the upcoming ODI matches against India and Sri Lanka.
In an online interaction with some of his Facebook fans, Pattinson said: "The recovery is going really well at the moment. I am about three weeks away from coming back.

I am back running and doing some bowling so hopefully I will be back about halfway through the one-day series.

"I've had no pain in my foot since I've got back. The first couple of days it was a bit tender and sore but now it's fine. I haven't felt it for almost two and a half weeks.
"I am back running and doing some bowling so hopefully I will be back about halfway through the one-day series. Hopefully we get into the finals and I will be right for them."
The 21-year old speedster is not expected to play his state side's upcoming Sheffield Shield clash with South Australia but wants to feature in Australian colours in their 12th February match against India.
"That is the aim. I think they said to me last week it'd probably be three to four weeks. I'm just trying to get back and do everything I can to get back and play in the one-dayers," Pattinson added.
Australia are 1.53 to defeat India in Friday's second T20 match. The tourists themselves are 2.50 to get the win.
