After scoring a fine ton in his side's Sheffield Shield match against South Australia at Adelaide Oval on Thursday, Victoria Bushrangers batsman Rob Quiney revealed he wants to represent Australia on an international level.
Quiney (114) started off a little shakily but soon regained his composure and then combined with young batsman Peter Handscomb (113) to post a 225-run partnership, which has put his team in a very favourable position.

I'd love to play for Australia and there's opportunities happening at the moment.

South Australia are 1.90 to win the 2011/12 Ryobi Cup, while Tasmania are 1.90 and Victoria 1213.00.
It's the second time that he has scored a century this season and it has brought his overall ton tally to six. His batting average has been 47.25 this season, a major improvement on his average of 42.58 from last season.
After proving himself on the domestic Australian circuit once again, the 29-year-old lefty wants to play for Australia at the highest level.
"I'd love to play for Australia and there's opportunities happening at the moment although the team looks pretty settled. As the coach said 114 is probably not enough, I probably need to make 184 to get in (the Australian team). I just got to keep churning out runs, that's what I need to do and what I'm always trying to do," Quiney said.
About his improved form, he added: "I work hard but I relax at the same time. I felt I had a good Shield season last season and I made it a big goal of mine to back it up and not just be sporadic, and have one year good, one year bad."
