England's batsmen fail again

James Anderson impressed with the ball on the first day. There seems certain to be another early finish to the third Test between England and Pakistan after 16 wickets fell on the first day at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan won the first Test inside three days and the second clash on the fourth day and are 1.001 to complete a 3-0 series whitewash.
However, England are 1.001 to secure a consolation victory in the final Test after dismissing Pakistan for 99 despite losing the toss and being asked to field.
Yet again the England batsmen failed though as the tourists slumped to 104-6 by the close of play.

Stuart Broad took 4-36 and James Anderson also impressed with 3-35 as Pakistan struggled with the bat. Only Asad Shafiq, who scored 45, seemed to be comfortable when batting as six of his team-mates failed to reach double figures.
But when England replied, Alastair Cook (1), Jonathan Trott (2), Ian Bell (5) and Eoin Morgan (10) continued their miserable tours although captain Andrew Strauss, 41 not out, and Kevin Pietersen (32) escaped any blame.
Meanwhile, England hope Tim Bresnan may be able to fly back to the United Arab Emirates in time for the limited-overs leg of the tour, having had to return home before the first Test because of post-operative elbow pain.
