Hold On Julio to have Aintree chance

Alan King looks set to have a fabulous Cheltenham with the likes of Grumeti, Venbdor, Batonnier and recent winner Mopuntbazon ready to make an impact.
He's always been particularly upbeat about the chances of Grumeti lifting the yard a third Triumph Hurdle and is positive after a poor 2010-11 by his own high standards.

We decided that Hold On Julio warranted an entry alongside Rocker.

Grumeti is 6.00 to win the Triumph Hurdle while Amok is available at 778.00.
Now, however, he has his eyes cast ahead of Cheltenham to the Grand National and has entered Hold On Julio (1000.00) and West End Rocker (13.00) for the big event in April.
King said: "Julio coughed after coping badly last week, causing us to pull him out of the Skybet Chase at Doncaster, but we decided that he warranted an entry alongside Rocker.
"The weights are due to be announced on 14th February, so we'll see how kind the handicapper has been before making plans."

King is also particularly keen on recent Plumpton winner Mountbazon who is now set for a run at the Festival, with the trainer declaring: "He is too good a mover - a smashing horse and we are definitely thinking in terms of the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
"However, I would like to get another run into Montbazon to give him more match-practice, and he might go to Exeter on 12th February for a Listed Hurdle."
