Mullholland talks up Midnight Chase

Neil Mullholland doesn't believe Midnight Chase is necessarily a Gold Cup no hoper and will go to Cheltenham fully capable of picking up prize money.
Clearly the top two in the market - Long Run and Kauto Star - are special horses, but there are good judges who reckon that beyond them the event lacks depth.

We are so fortunate as a small yard to have a horse like him.

Long Run is 2.75 to win the Gold Cup while Kauto Star can be backed at 4.50 and Midnight Chase at 11.00.
Mullholland's horses are in very good shape and the trainer explained the horse was probably better this week than he was last ahead of his latest Cheltenham winning outing.
He said: "We are so fortunate as a small yard to have a horse like him. He's a superb lad and given his love affair with Cheltenham - where he has now won five times - he has to be given his chance.
"That's the intention because he did it so well last Saturday. He loves racing in general and Cheltenham in particular so we're certainly hoping to get a share of the prize money in the Gold Cup."
Don't forget all of the fantastic markets we have to offer, including In-Play betting, can be accessed on your mobile phone with the new and improved Mobile at bet365.
Mullholland didn't entirely rule out the Grand National but made it clear Cheltenham is the central objective, explaining: "The owners love the horse and have had some great Cheltenham days so that's the plan."
