Mullins makes history

Master trainer Willie Mullins added another major achievement to his stellar career on Thursday when achieving the fastest century of winners in Irish racing.
And in keeping with the speed with which he has achieved another remarkable feat, he did so in double quick time with Soll seeing off eight opponents with consummate ease.

I'm absolutely delighted to reach the 100 mark.

Mullins could hardly be in better form this season and the 100 winners coming straight on the back of Hurricane Fly's brilliant success at the weekend is another massive boost.
Soll had absolutely no trouble seeing off Harpsy Chord by an easy four lengths plus, stretching all the way down the run-in for Ruby Walsh.
It is becoming almost embarrassing to watch the riches coming out of the Mullins yard as Cheltenham approaches, a position he echoed declaring: "We have such a quality of horse at the minute. We'll keep our fingers crossed that we keep them healthy."
Commenting on Soll's performance he said: "He'll probably go for the four-mile chase (National Hunt Chase) at Cheltenham.
"You saw how green he was passing the post. I doubt he'll run between now and Cheltenham. I would like to get another run into him but it may be too close.
"I'm absolutely delighted to reach the 100 mark."
As part of the Cheltenham Festival specials, over eight winners to be trained in Ireland can be backed at 1.50. Under eight is at 3.00 while exactly eight is at 9.00.
