Murray handles the heat

British number one Andy Murray eased his way into the quarter-finals of the Australian Open after Mikhail Kukushkin threw in the towel during their fourth round encounter on Monday.
Andy Murray is through to the Australian Open quarter-finals.After Murray had broken the Kazakh's serve in the opening game of the third set, having won the opening two in convincing fashion, Kukushkin decided enough was enough and called it a day after just 48 minutes.

The world No 92 struggled to cope with the soaring temperatures in Melbourne and retired from the contest with the score at 6-1 6-1 1-0.
Having secured his place in the last eight of the Grand Slam tournament, Murray, who is 6.00 to win the Australian Open, was pleased with his performance despite dropping two games on his own serve.
He said: "I played him a few weeks ago (in Brisbane) and it was a tough match. I expected another one today but it's so hot. I get to conserve a bit of energy but he was obviously struggling.
"When I saw him struggling I was just trying to get a few serves in and get him running."
Murray is now set for a quarter-final encounter with Japan's Kei Nishikori, with the Scot 1.071 to win and 10.00 to lose the clash.
